'Absent' is a film that focuses on the life of a young man from Washington, D.C., learning how to forgive his father, after the latter makes a decision to move several states away from home. It is a semi-autobiographical story about the importance in a Black Boy's life, as well as D.C.'s rich culture and history. This story is a love letter to my father, to myself, and everyone who has an estranged relationship with their father, to D.C. for experiences central to the legacy of "Chocolate City" that must be memorialized in the face of erasure due to ongoing gentrification.

               Mounting cinematic endeavors can be an expensive enterprise, therefore I am currently reaching out for donations from individuals and collectives who may be interested in supporting the film financially. Donations would go to various expenses such as location costs, providing artists and crew a quality fee for their labor, along with food and transportation. Principal Shooting is set for late June of 2024.
